- Unique gifts with antique tools -
To produce our signs and custom furniture pieces, our shop uses an extensive array of different tools . Some are electric, some are not and many of them are antique hand tools. Several of our customers have asked us if we could make presentation pieces out of these antique beauties. At first we didn't quite understand the use but it became apparent that people in different trades had tools (still do at times) that represented their profession, carpenter and a saw, cabinet maker and a hand plane, a cook and a rolling pin etc..... When time comes to retire, celebrate an anniversary, show appreciation or give to someone special, nothing will come close in being unique than offering a genuine antique tool. As one can understand, even if many have been made in large quantities, for the ones that survived disposal each has aged in a very unique way, from its wear patterns to its color , no two pieces are alike.
We do restore each tool with respect to its original construction and patina and will also provide a brief description of the tool.
That is how and why we decided to create around some of the past tools and turn them into beautiful ojects which many of them still work ! Also, if there something you would like and don't see here, let us know, we do have access to a large selection backed by expert knowledge.
